Desert Strike EX

A much-needed expansion of the original classic.

Key Changes and Improvements include:

• Full SRAM support with robust "campaign mode" saves.

• 6-button control scheme implemented, including strafing and altitude control.

• Copilot bios updated to reflect their actual effects on gameplay.

• Stages unlock in the main menu as they are cleared in campaign mode.

• Stage-specific high scores saved and shown on the main menu.

• Copilot selection screen appears between stages.

• Copilots are unlocked through gameplay and can be found in alternate locations.

• Restored unused altitude control code found in the original ROM.

• Numerous bug fixes and gameplay balancing tweaks.

• The game now returns to the title screen after game over (instead of hanging).

• Updated controls make missile and winch use more intuitive and responsive.
